There is small surface split(pictured) that is only cosmetic and should not affect the performance of the board. Price is adjusted due to the cosmetic flaw.
Do no submerge cutting boards in water and clean/rinse after every use. They can be scrubbed with 1/2 a lemon and coarse salt OR you can clean with white vinegar. Be sure to allow airflow to both sides of the board for even drying and to help avoid the any chance of splitting. Important: when the board begins to look dry, apply a coat of food safe mineral oil.
